Jovita Bautista
Principal & Artistic Director

Accolades

A master of both Ballet & Ballroom Latin

Ms. Jovita is an award-winning Ballet instructor, nationally renowned Professional Ballroom Latin dancer, and choreographer. With years of experience teaching and training young dancers in the examination and competitive scene, Ms. Jovita has led many students to reach beyond their fullest potential.

 

She is a former World Dance Council Professional Latin Competitor (Malaysia, Singapore, Spain representative) with 8 times undefeated Malaysia and Singapore Professional Latin Champion. Winning more than 255 awards during her competitive journey since 2004. Ms. Jovita was also the youngest to be asked by the President of the Malaysian Dance Association to turn Professional (at the tender age of 20). Since 2014, Ms. Jovita is a member of the Singapore Ballroom Dance Teachers’ Association and has been invited to compete and judge at numerous local and international prestigious competitions. 

 

She has produced more than 90% distinction rate for Primary – Grade 1 level and more than 75% of Distinction and high merits from Grade 2 level and above for her RAD student examinations.

Her competition teams; soloist, Trios, and Groups have been known to win numerous top place awards and scholarships in both international competitions such as Get The Beat, Asian Ballet Competition, Youth Asian Festival, Masterpiece International Ballet Competition, Hong Kong and Singapore Challenge Cup, The Ultimate League (Malaysia), and many more. ​

 

Ms. Jovita’s vast experience as both a competitor and dance teacher has propelled her to dream. She aims to provide an inspiring yet safe studio for her students to learn and grow. Through their development, putting the next generation of Singapore-trained dancers on the world map.
