Professional Ballet Dancer,
Dance Educator, and Advocate
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ms. Nisha began her ballet journey at the age of 3 under WL Danceworld. Demonstrating exceptional talent, she consistently achieved Distinction in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examinations, completing her highest vocational grade, Advanced 2. Beyond ballet, Nisha excelled as an Amateur Champion in numerous international ballroom dancing competitions, performing alongside her brother as her partner from the age of 6.

In 2015, at just 13 years old, Nisha was selected as one of the youngest Corps de Ballet members in La Bayadère, produced by The Dance Society and KL Danceworks, where she performed alongside Principal Dancers Adiarys Almeida and Joseph Gatti.
From 2016 to 2017, Nisha actively competed in ballet competitions, earning full scholarships to prestigious summer intensives such as the Australian Ballet School, Ballet Manila, and Columbus City Ballet School. She successfully auditioned for the Joffrey Ballet School in Chicago during this time. In 2016, she was cast as the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty for Sri Wilayah Ballet Centre and WL Danceworld Productions.

In 2018, Nisha pursued full-time training at Marlupi Dance Academy, where she was mentored by Ms. Claresta Alim. Her competitive achievements include:
Asian Grand Prix (Bangkok): Winner, with direct entry to Semi-Finals in Hong Kong.
Asia Grand Prix (Hong Kong): Youngest Finalist.
Malaysian International Ballet Grand Prix (MIBGP): Junior 2 Winner
Youth America Grand Prix (Indonesia): Top 4 Finalists.
The Dance Society of Malaysia Competition: Category 2 Winner, with a scholarship to the Australian Ballet School Summer Intensive.

During her tenure at Marlupi, she also apprenticed with the Indonesian Dance Company (IDCO), performing in It’s Showtime!, which showcased ballet, jazz, traditional, and contemporary dances. She appeared in notable roles such as the Big Swans and Corps de Ballet in Swan Lake by Marlupi Dance Academy.

Returning to Malaysia in 2019, Nisha served as a full-time instructor at WL Danceworld while continuing her studies. She performed as a guest artist in Coppélia and Dawn for Sri Wilayah Ballet Centre and, in 2022, was invited to perform as one of the Factory Girls in Carmen with Ballet Theatre Malaysia. As a coach, her students have achieved accolades at renowned competitions, such as Asian Grand Prix with a direct entry to Hong Kong, Malaysian International Ballet Grand Prix, Asia Open Dance Championship, Asia Ballet Competition.

Beyond dance, Nisha advocates for mental health awareness through the arts. As a Top 10 Finalist in Miss World Malaysia 2021, she championed the benefits of dance for mental well-being. Her platform led to invitations for high-profile modeling photoshoots and participation in Malaysia International Digital Fashion Week.
